Sport Mad has been designed to assist sports clubs in developing a website to promote their services, facilities, courses and training sessions. Clubs will also be able to make their team & score sheets available on their website. Furthermore, a secure password system will prevent other teams and unwelcome visitors from gaining access to team details.

How does it work?

If your club already has sponsors for your team/s, with your approval, Sport Mad will approach them, with the aim of encouraging them to cover the cost of the development of the website.

If your club doesn’t already have a sponsor, Sport Mad will search its database of local businesses, which are keen to sponsor local teams, to source a suitable match. Sport Mad will then approach the business, on your behalf, as above.

The sponsor pays for the initial website development (see Website Design for charging structure) and the minimal annual hosting charge. The only future costs that the sponsor would incur are the annual hosting fees, unless further development of the site is required (such as changing graphics or additional web pages).

What does the sponsor get?

In return for the sponsor’s support, they will be entitled to a banner ad on every page of the website. No other company, except SPORT MAD (the web development company behind Sport Mad), will be allowed to advertise on the website. In addition, the sponsor will get a dedicated section on each page, to promote their products / services.

This gives the sponsor an extremely effective advertising forum, reaching all of the people involved in your club.
